Customer Review

on 24 May 2011
Having read 1984 several years ago and then deciding to focus on the novel for my A2 English Literature coursework, this guide helped give a more analytical view to a book I'd read only for pleasure. I in fact focused in on Bertens' belief that "we tend to assume that our thinking is free" when in fact our "minds aren't free at all, they only think they are" and even in this depth the guide was still extremely useful. Helped me get full marks anyway! I would recommend this to any A-Level and undergraduate Literature (and indeed Language) students.
