Customer Review

I think that 'workmanlike' is the best adjective to describe this original Sixth Doctor and Melanie Bush novel by the prolific Gary Russell. Like many in the BBC post-TV series range, IofD lacks any real depth, instead it is content to create admittedly intriguing (for the most part) characters, and an alien menace that is neither wholly original nor wholly fascinating. Indeed, it is hard to decide which is the actual threat until late in the novel, such are the many nebulous plot strands. I won't be reading this again.
