After seeing other reviews on the Amazon site I had high hopes for this product but am at this stage disappointed and annoyed that it doesn't work! After receiving the product today and charging it to the max the first issue was that the built in torch refused to work, although curiously it operated whilst it was attached to the USB cable whilst charging and then not at all once detached. However the main and most important problem is that it refuses to charge my IPhone 5. Just to make sure that wasn't a problem with either the phone or the cable supplied the same USB cable I used to attach the phone to the charger works perfectly when attached to a mains unit and the phone therefore charges without any issues. I can't help but notice that another recent reviewer has also had the same problem with his unit and an IPhone 5 so am concerned that the manufacturer has issues with the latest IPhones. Needless to say I will be contacting Anker to find out what, if any, solutions can be found to these problems...watch this space!

Can you use the OEM cable that came with your iPhone? Does this unit charge other devices properly? I have it too though I'm using it with samsung galaxy s2 and it works fine aside from the occasional button presses that sometimes I press I hear and feel a click but the power doesn't come on to charge the phone but then I press again and it works. Guess the connection is a bit bad but it works for me maybe you got a bad hardware which happens regardless of company.
