I like some aspects of the game, the gameplay is excellent and the plot and approach to driving it forward is pretty good. However it has a couple of big flaws.
First is it manages the saving process for you, which is fine until the game falls over and corrupts the only saved game its been storing leaving you starting from scratch.
Starting scratch could be worse though, but that brings me to the killer flaw which is that the makers forgot they were making a game not a film. What I mean by this is the game is essentially mainly a bunch of cutscenes interspersed with good but generally very short periods of arcade action. Some of those cutscenes can be skipped, though most can't. Sitting through those cutscenes once is painful enough, doing it more than once is nearly impossibly frustrating.
The third flaw is the gameplay begins to get a bit dull after a while. By the time I got to the airport section I was bored, there's no real variety to the gameplay and constantly begin left facing innumerable enemies with your pistol and the rubbish guns the enemy drop became mind numbing.
The fourth issue is the game is pretty short, I did it in 6 hours odd (which I guess includes having to start from scratch when it corrupted my saved game). I don't feel any need to replay it either as I would need to watch the cutscenes again.
Having said all that at the current price its a no-brainer, you'll get your moneys worth.
