A Story About How Love Can Span Lifetimes,
This review is from: Endless (Paperback)
I wasn't sure what to expect when I first opened this book but what I got was a fast-paced, action packed, intriguing journey of a young girl who isn't all she seems to be. Jenny is a seemingly normal girl, as long as you don't count the dreams she experiences. At first, she doesn't realise the dreams are actually glimpses of herself in a past life. These dreams must mean something, but how does Jenny figure out what they mean and what she can do about it? Then there's the fact that she can touch someone and glimpse something about them. She makes sure these day to wear gloves in order to prevent herself getting caught in the misery of touching others. It can be pretty tough going when the person has lost someone and Jenny can see why or how.
When she befriends Ben Daulton, the son of one of her father's clients, their friendship brings answers to questions Jenny didn't know she had. What ensues is a journey that is tumultuous for both Jenny and Ben but also for Nikolai, the mysterious boy Jenny feels drawn to in a way that cannot easily be explained. Nikolai's presence in her life intrigues Jenny, but also frightens her - for, how can she feel so much for a boy she has only just met? There's an intensity to their relationship that she could not have foretold. A race against the clock begins as Jenny, Nikolai and Ben try to outrun the Order, those who 'help people out of time'. The Order want to send Nikolai back to his own time or to the Bardo if he doesn't comply. But Jenny and Nikolai have only just found each other, how can they be expected to give up on each other and let the Order have their own way?
This story tells about how love can span the here and now, across the decades and even across many past lifetimes. What would we do to be with the one we love?
A passionate, funny, intriguing and compelling tale of love, loss, betrayal, friendship and an element of paranormal - ENDLESS will have you sitting on the edge of your seat as you turn the ages as fast as you can in order to find out what will happen next to the trio.
Amanda Gray spins a story so intricate and so passionate that you find yourself submerged in the story from the very first word until the last.
