I enjoyed the first book in this series, 'Origin', but this sequel is a better book, for one thing it is a full length novel, and for another it is a complete story which has a real climax and ending. The premise is the same as for the first book, each of the characters has levels of attributes (strength, intelligence, charisma, luck etc). as in role playing computer games. In this story the 'hero' Edmond and his companion Daffodil, are undertaking a quest to kill the dragon which was terrorising their village and rescue Edmond's 'One True Love' who been captured by the dragon. As in all such quests there are a number of obstacles and levels which they have to overcome. Ultimately this book is about friendship and cooperation and is a great read. The main things that I liked about this book were the characterisations, the humour and the cleverly crafted challenges the authors created. Please note that I did receive a free copy of this book, but voluntarily chose to review it.
