Close but no cigar,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: NATPC M009S RTB ULTIMATE 7" 16GB Capacitive Android tablet PC - Android 4.0 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich)- now with DOUBLE storage (16GB) and DOUBLE system ram (1GB) for ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE - WiFi - Compatible with BBC iPlayer
If you're looking for perfection stop reading now and go and spend 400 bananas on something else. If you want a tablet for the everyday tasks of checking email, ebay, twitter, facebook or browsing the net then this could well be for you.
The build quality is a lot better than I expected and it runs nice and smooth, the touch screen is responsive and the tablet operates at a very good speed. The thing that lets it down is the display, the 800 x 400 pixel screen just doesn't cut it.
I wouldn't like to think I was sitting trying to read something for any length of time. Video viewing is actually easier on the eye than text and runs smoothly on YouTube and the BBC I player
For something to take on holiday, cheap for the kids or light use around the house this is great but if you're looking for a tablet with a bit more substance I'd be looking elsewhere or await the Google Nexus Tablet which should be announced shortly and is been touted at around the £150 mark.
This isn't a bad review but a honest one and I find it hard to believe how many 5* ratings this item has received considering the visual letdown. If this tablet came with a 1024 x 600 display it would be a world beater but I guess that's why its the price it is.
After several days use of the tablet Ive decided to upgrade this to 4 stars. The display isn't that bad, it isn't brilliant but maybe I was been too picky and comparing it to my Ipad after only using the it for a few hours before writing the review.
The only problem Ive had is a few aps that I run on my HTC and wanted for the tablet let you purchase them but wont work due to them not been able to 'validate the license'

Well I gave it 5 stars (review not up yet) because I rated it on what it is - a budget tablet, the screen res is written clearly in the description so marking down for that is like ordering a saucepan and marking it down because it isn't a kettle!! (imo)

Indeed, Hagler -your review is a bit unusual - if the tablet does what it is supposed to do at this price, then it should get 5 stars. The fact that it does not do what a more expensive priced tablet does should not have it marked down - you have said so much in your review but your rating does not match it - most confusing?
You have actually praised it more than many reviews yet your rating is the lowest it has received?

Well after reading a lot of '5 Star Reviews' I personally expected the picture to be sharper than what it is so for this reason I marked it down slightly. I'm sorry if MY opinion of the product doesn't meet your expectations.

No need to apologise Hagler - but you should not be allowintg other reviews to sway your opinion.
It was advertised with a 800 x 480 screen and that is what you paid for - reviewing it badly because it has what it states and what you paid for is unfair in the extreme
If you want a better screen, you have to pay more for it. that's like slating a motorbike because it can't carry four passengers like a car?

Are you joking! What are product reviews for if people aren't supposed to read them and gather information on the item prior to purchase?
I haven't slated it, I said I was slightly disappointed with the display. I have wrote a honest review and rated the product on MY OPINION not yours.

Hi, my post was in response to you saying you couldn't understand the 5 star reviews, I was just explaining how I came to my own conclusions, everyone is entitled to an opinion and my previous post is mine :)

Hagler - your sarcasm is wasted on me - I can't help looking at your review "If this tablet came with a 1024 x 600 display it would be a world beater but I guess that's why its the price it is. " and wonder if you have any sense of reality -how can a tablet that came so close to being a world beater score 3 out of 5 ?
Even items that are just good get 5 star reviews but one that is close to being a world beater gets 3 - lol - pfft
