Protesting peacefully against the Apartheid Wall and State,
This review is from: Against the Wall: The Art of Resistance in Palestine (Paperback)
It's not just Banksy, hundreds of people, artists and non-artists, are writing their messages in support of the occupied and oppressed Palestinians on the Apartheid Wall that Israel has built through their land and around their towns and villages. The official Israeli name for it is the Separation Wall; Separation is what Apartheid means.
Their efforts have been fully and beautifully recorded in the book, 'Against the Wall: the art of resistance in Palestine' authored by William Parry, who descibes himself as "a person, an American, a world citizen.".
The photographs are supplemented by a careful, calm explanation and commentary. The Foreword starts "The thing about a wall is that people tend to see only one side of it, the side they are on." This book brings the other side over to us, showing all the humanity, the humour, and pain that the Wall and occupation are causing. A must see
