But NOT when it's done like this. I pity anyone who can personally identify with these songs, as it would tend to suggest that they must be as unimaginative, melodramatic, irritating and cliche as the lyrics from this album. Having seen this band (not by choice) I can honestly say that they aren't even enjoyable live. Most bands, no matter how mediocre they may be on record, can still be fun when heard live through very loud amps. With Kill Hannah the only thing that was amplified was thier cringingly awful irrritating "style". Which seems to be more about haircuts than anything else. What the hell this guy must be on to think he can get away with such appaling lyrics (just look them up and you'll see what I mean)... if they were in any way original they would probably still be dreadful - I just do not know. It's painful. The music is bland pop-hooks laden with samples from cheap keyboards. The singer sounds like Brian Molko IF Brian was to undergo electro-shock treatment, a lobotomy and aged about 30 years. I find the notion that even the most immature teen would find this clever, inspiring, or even fun both unbelievable and insulting to humanity. If this is the way music is headed... well, I guess the world will eventually become filled with self-obsessed, pathetic whiners.
