Essential reading - if you're not a beginner!,

This review is from: Greek: A Comprehensive Grammar of the Modern Language (Comprehensive Grammars) (Paperback)
Beginners like me may regard this comprehensive and authoritative reference more as a university text book than a practical aid to start out learning modern Greek.
Unless you have studied languages before, you will also need an English dictionary and a dictionary of grammar at hand - because of the extensive use of technical terms.
Definitely not an easy introduction to the subject for first-timers, but no doubt a must-buy for advanced students.

Mr. B. J. Mclaughlin says:
I have been studying Greek for a number of years. Most of my teachers have been Greek nationals who do not explain (or know to explain) their language in Greek. I have seen this book and now intend to buy it because it has a much greater explanation that I have seen elsewhere before.
