OK, originally wanted to get the playbook, but decided on going for the Motorola Xoom on a special offer day at Amazon. But really regretted not getting the playbook due to its form factor and specifications. Its a far better tablet, even better than the iPad 2. BUT, Now I have got one via PC World massive discount on the 64Gb Playbook @ £129!!! YES you read right, I can now see why RIM / Blackberry has failed in delivering an outstanding tablet.
The APPS stink! The range and variety of apps that have been developed are a real let down, there is nothing really worthwhile to buy or use... Yes there are free apps, BUT they are mostly micky mouse.
Why did I get the Playbook Well at a ridculus price for a 64GB it was a win win win situation, you get 64mb, top HDMI, supper fast processors and great OS... So was going to use the playbook for VIDEOS via our SMART TV.
Now the biggest single DOWNFALL of the Playbook...
It doesnt support any form of DLNA media servers!!!! nor does Netflix support it!
So hence why RIM/ Blackberry have failed, they produced one of the BEST tablets, but NO ONE have supported it.
that is really SAD
Now compare the specs, can you buy anything else for this PRICE that is as good, NO.
So horses for courses...
so I am now using the playbook as a businessbook, and using the Xoom as a playbook, loaded with loads of games, that the children can play, which then leaves me to use the Playbook for my own use...
