Customer Review

on 20 March 2014
I really can't recommend this book in any way, although in fairness I gave up less than half-way through, so perhaps it got better later - I wasn't prepared to give it that chance. It is so improbable as to be ridiculous - murders all over the place in a little Scottish town, with no media attention, a woman about whom hints are given that she is, or used to be, some sort of secret agent but without any clue as to what that has to do with the story, refugee children turning up in an alleyway and a local man happening to speak their obscure language fluently - hopeless. I had seen good reviews of the series, so bought this book, but can't understand why it got those ratings.
