I saw Big Country on their last tour and when they are at their best they were untouchable. This also doesn't quite scale those heights and although I disagree with the reviewer who thought the sound was terrible, there are issues with it. The bass is a bit low in the mix and occasionally there's a bit of unevenness and imbalance between the guitars, but overall it's not bad. This concert catches the group just before the release of 'The Seer' and as such most of the material is from the first two albums with a few tracks from the 'The Seer' thrown in. For the most part the music is energetically played with standout performances of 'Wonderland', 'In a big country', 'Chance', ' The storm' and 'Harvest home' The rest is pretty good, but 'Steel town', one of my favourite the Big Country tracks, seems to suffer in its live execution for some reason. Overall a good solid concert, but not quite a spectacular one.
