This is a well written and thoroughly enjoyable book.
The book is based around three women who lead very different lives but who are all overweight. Their weight affects their self confidence, self esteem and their relationships.
The women's paths cross when they each decide, for very different reasons, to attend a slimming club. Over the course of the weekly meetings we find out more details about their lives and how they help to support one another with their issues that they are faced with.
The characters are warm, at times funny and overall very believable and it is easy to empathise with each of them.
The issues explored in the book around weight loss and self esteem will be very relevant to many readers, including myself, and there are some great suggestions built into the story about how the characters motivated themselves during the harder times.
I was very sad to reach the end of this book and I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone who has never tried any of Lucy Diamond's previous books.
