There are two gotchas that will make for swearing that you need to know.
1. The plug is a screwy affair and very easy to think you have it in right but haven't. If you have no power, check the odd slide in adapter carefully. If its not positively clicked in place and can pull away then its not fully connected and will not work. Come back to this note when you have the plug in hand as it will make sense. I nearly sent mine back due to this design. 2. If you have username but no password-BT Infinity for example-put a space in the password field (PPPOe).
The router was purchased due to having 2 ipads, a sony vaio duo 11, 2 other laptops, 2 pcs and a TV all connected to my prior TPLink. I was getting reboots needed daily. The Sony hasn't a strong wireless card and kept dropping off.
Now I'm on the Sony at 144mbs in a location that normally breaks easily on this device. The Dell laptop in the living room gets 217MB/s. Used to be 10-50 at best.
Very effective router and good range.
Please note I took an hour to read reviews and graphs from all over geekdom online to choose this device. It IS excellent.
