Customer Review

on 16 March 2011
I purchased one of these as I wanted the electric pick-up feature to add a bit more volume.Sadly the thing has such a bad tone I don't want it louder!I threw away the shocking original nylon strings and replaced them with Aguila ones but still no luck. Quality of build looks reasonable but sadly a beginner will quickly get despondant trying to get a tune out of this.I would return it if I could but technically it 'works'.Virtually unplayable.
Revised score-Having invested in decent strings I have persevered with this uke.Having finally managed to tune it, I must report that it actually doesn't sound too bad, but as an acoustic it lacks volume. As other review states it is quite well built and a play with some amplification might just make this a worthwhile purchase. To be honest I still prefer my Mahalo if you are looking for a half decent beginner uke.Happy strumming!
