It's impossible to recommend this product for anything to be blunt. Okay, it has a backlight activated by touch, but its limitations sorely outweigh this feature in my view. Consider:
* The display is unreadable unless you have it positioned towards you at a particular angle and a small range either side. I found it's nigh-on impossible to achieve this angle on a typical bedside table arrangement.
* The snooze button is a titchy thing on the *rear* of the unit, positioned in a row of other similarly sized buttons, so to press it when the alarm's sounding, you have to pick the clock up and consciously fiddle around. In the pitch black, when you're half asleep (or hungover!), it's a real challenge to work it, and so utterly defeats the object! (Touch activated snooze - now *that* would have been useful!)
* Finally, when setting anything on this piece, each button press is accompanying by a very loud, very irritating beep that can't be suppressed. If you share your bed with a partner, it's inevitable they'll be disturbed and possibly cause you physical harm.
This clock is cheap(ish), I know, but that's not enough to save it I reckon. Avoid.
