Customer Review

on 15 July 2012
A cracking wartime story set around the SS's infamous Lebensborn homes.
For those who aren't familiar with them, the Lebensborn homes were maternity homes set up to cater for wifes of SS officers and also unmarried mothers. During and after the war lots of absurd stories abounded about how they used as SS stud farms but such outlandish theories have been largely discredited now.
This novel is based in part around the truth, in part around around the myths that grew up around this institution. Whilst you should take it's contents with a pinch of salt, it's hugely enjoyable as a pulpy wartime adventure story. A short novel that you'll probarly devour in one or two sittings. Add it to your shopping basket, your bound to have fun with it!
