I like the way this book is laid out, the chapters are easy to dip in to or read in order, with pointers telling you where to find supporting information in other chapters. The margins are full of definitions of the key expressions in sociology, very useful when one of the low mark questions ever exam is to define a key expression.
The book is well written, it's interesting and engaging and made topics that could be dull, like sociological methods, enjoyable. There are lots of tables and graphs that make the material discussed more accessible to visual learners.
At the end of the chapters are practice exam questions as well as a chapter summary and a glossary of the key terms.
I used this text book as my main source for my AS level assignments and managed to get good grades for each assignment. I would recommend this book as the main textbook for anyone studying AS Sociology.
