This book is not an Italian food bible! I bought the book because I wanted to cook some of the food that I thought the Corleone family ate in the Godfather movies. The recipes are pimped-up by glorifying language of a food and beverage money machine, even though most ingredients in the recipes are cheap cuts and low cost vegetables. However, if you use the best quality of ingredients you can get a hold of, you end up with very good food results. Hence, the book is a good supplement to your real Italian food bible, and you are now capable of serving NYC-Italian food to your friends and family.
