2.0 out of 5 stars now thats what i call ordinary vol 5 !!!, 9 Dec. 2007
This review is from: Pull the Pin (Audio CD)
i already own their first two cd's and have seen them live twice , but i always found them ....... well ordinary. so i bought the new one "pull the pin " and thought i would give them another chance to light my fire. sadly i found myself listening to pedestrian rock and roll. but without the "rock". i listened 3 or 4 more times ,and still i was left with a sense of emptiness. sure , it wasn't a shockingly bad album , but it wasn'y explosive either as the title might suggest. years ago unloved copies would have flooded the second hand record shops in abundance , but these days i guess ebay will be doing a roaring trade instead.

"their first two cd's" is the key to paying any attention to this review, as this is the stereophonic's 6th album. a great band, great life. Research what you're talking about before writing a review on a national website stickman

i am more than aware that they have made 6 albums. my "research" was listening to this album and then giving it an honest appraisal . it just didnt float my boat. if i was a stereophonics obsessive than i may have heaped praise upon them . i disagree with you ! i dont for one minute think they are a great band , and having seen them live they were somewhere between average and pedestrian. some good has come from all this though. the aforementioned cd is now sitting on a shelf at my local oxfam at a price more worthy of its aural value
