NEVER HAPPIER THAN WHEN MISERABLE..,
This review is from: The Long Emergency: Surviving the Converging Catastrophes of the 21st Century (Paperback)
The author is never happier than when miserable, which is great because I'm exactly the same way. This is in fact an important point-if you want the doom and gloom that oil depletion will bring upon us, then this delivers in a readable way.I wont go into voluminous detail as so many have done, but will add a few points-1/ The author is Jewish and his anti Arab stance is frankly offensive, as is his unapologetic portrayal of black people as nothing more than immature, petty criminals. If you can manage to ignore that,(!) I recommend this book.
