This product makes a good first impression. The glow is just the right level of brightness, the design is nice and it's pretty tactile - my children really liked it.
Unfortunately, when you use it, a few glaring flaws appear. The only way to set the time is to hold a button down for five seconds the previous day, so if you need to make changes to a routine, the wake-up function is difficult to reschedule. Worse, if a child interacts with the owl before wake up time, chances are they will click the button on the bottom and reset the alarm - a huge oversight. I'm not a fan of the power adapter either; its a chucky thing and attracts more attention and is easier to pull out the wall than a standard plug.
So unfortunately I can't recommend it, unless you intend to keep it out of reach or use it as a night light only.
