Having read all the reviews I still risked a punt on these inexpensive socks, so I have no one to blame but myself.
As many have said already, the sizing is at fault: I have size 9.5 (narrow) feet, and skinny ankles, and still these socks were too small, too short, and too difficult to pull-on. The stitching around the cuff came away as I wrestled to pull them on. Again, as per other comments, they shed an awful lot of fluff; so much so that lumps of fluff ball-up under the foot and feel uncomfortable. I'm hoping that this tendency towards 'fluffing' might lessen after a couple of washes.
There is nothing intrinsically wrong with these socks, apart from the 'fluffing' problem; but they are NOT for anyone beyond a size 7-8, with skinny ankles. Pass them on to your wife or children, as short 'welly' socks, is my advice.
