This book is delightful!
All my old questions about Cinderella were answered. Why would Cinderella put up with her bossy stepsisters? Because she was under a curse, of course. Why couldn't anyone recognize her? It was a masked ball, of course. Why wouldn't her shoes fit anyone else? You'll have to read the book for that one.
Today's women don't really respect a Prince who falls for a girl because of her looks. And now we learn that that isn't the way it was at all. Ella and the Prince had known and corresponded with each other for years. Ella's personality is what enchanted the Prince, as well as the reader. This means giving up the desperate search for the owner of the shoe, as he knows where to go. But it's worth it.
Adventures with ogres only add to the fun. This book leaves you with a satisfied feeling. I hope that this author writes more books soon!
