I started listening to this (audio)book in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep and ended up listening to the whole thing. It was un-turnoffable. Not only does Alastair Campbell write with impressive and touching honesty about depression, but he also addresses the subject of "happiness" with great insight and clarity. As ever, he is fascinating when it comes to politics, and in this book he is relentlessly even-handed, even affording David Cameron repsect for seeking to adress the issue of happiness in our scoiety. Not only would I recommend this book as a must-read (or listen) for anyone who has ever suffered from depression, or shared their lfe is some form with a sufferer - but I would go further than that and say if you call yourself human, this book is for you.
