This is not the brilliant light, fresh, fluty Fluke of Taxi, Joni, Thumper etc. Nor is it the derranged and edgy Fluke of Electric Guitar and She's a Rainbow. A lot of it comes down to the mix of course, but what we have here is a steady series of heavy driving grooves, sometimes overlaid with arch croaked vocals. Overall it sounds like Fluke were trying to sound like Underworld at this points and there are several tracks where the beautiful synth theme is overtaken by colourless pounding, as on UW's hit, Born Slippy.
That said, this is still Fluke and there are still flashes here; it may go on a bit, but after the first couple of tracks, there are more of the nice tones.
