5.0 out of 5 stars Write like a doctor!, 17 May 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Wow Stuff Doctor Who Sonic Pen (Toy)
This item is a dual colour pen styled like a sonic screwdriver. It is 15cm/6" long and is heavier than your disposable pens. Despite its shape I find it comfortable to write with and it certainly looks nice on the desk. Being smaller than a regular sonic screwdriver (21cm+) it fits in the pocket well too. It has NO light or sound effects. Some confusion initially existed as some listings incorrectly said that it did, though this was quickly corrected on the better sites like Amazon. The two colours are selected by rotating the pen's body.

My concern with this item was that despite being described as an executive pen, it comes with no indication of whether or not the ink can be replaced. It Can! The pen's body can be gently slid apart to reveal the two pen inserts. These can then be gently slid out of their carrier and replaced with suitable equivalents. (I will try to upload a photo to acompany this review).

My conclusion is that this is a very attractive pen. Fun and functional.

Hi. Sorry but I haven't had to replace mine yet as I only write with it occasionally. All I can suggest is that you ask at your local stationary or office supply shop as I've had a look on Amazon and, at the time of writing, they don't supply a suitable replacement. Neither does the product supplier. Their website states that they don't sell to the public and refer you to Amazon. If it's any help I've just measured one of the pen inserts and it's 2.1mm diameter, 92mm long. I suggest that you try opening your pen before spending your money as I bought a second one and have been unable to open it like my first one. Hope this is at least some help. Let us all know if you find some.
