A strange brew this; comes across as a poor man's Dimmu Borgir with elements of Hardcore thrown into the mix with gang choruses and Agnostic Front style rants. It's an interesting idea albeit one that only sporadically works. The production is excellent with very good clarity on all the instruments and the guitars are technically good. There's a fair deal of double bass drum assaults as well. The vocals are bog standard Blackened Death Metal growls and screams but no worse than most. The synths & keyboards; ok, it's not the same standard as Dimmu Borgir's Mustis or Epica's Coen Janssen but it adds enough atmospherics & adds an element of the epic.
What really let's this down is the lyrics with an excess of four letter words that feel out of place, forced & somewhat immature! Although a different style of music, this has been a similiar failing with Fred Durst's Limp Bizkit. It's NOT clever, guys! It's not something that the likes of Dimmu can ever be accused of - if anything it just shows a lack of intellect & imagination.
Overall, not a landmark but some interesting ideas - not least bringing the different worlds of Black & Death Metal closer to the urban stance of Hardcore.
