One of the most powerful films I have ever seen. The rawness of the characters, the harshness of the environment (Yorkshire) the in-your-face violence and the stark filming style make this an experience, not just a film, that is not for the faint-hearted, the depressed or the down-trodden. The story-line is all too close to the reality we read about every day in the newspapers, the film feels like a fly-on-the-wall documentary. You feel that you want to get right in there and fight alongside them. It's dark, it's demanding, it's a film to watch when the kids are staying at their granny's.
