Hunter on Steroids,
This review is from: Where the Buffalo Roam [DVD] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] (DVD)
This movie is the best Bill Murray movie ever done (and least famous). And I am a big fan of his (and Thompson too; I've read most of Hunter's books). Murray not only looks similar to Thompson he acts like you would think Dr. Thompson (or like I perceive after reading many of his works). Funny from beginning to end. Kinda crams in "Great White Shark Hunt", "Hells Angels", "On the Campaign Trail" and of course "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" into one movie. But done well. While it's been years since I've watched it I am ordering the DVD so I can watch it over and over again. Ranks up there with Monty Python movies, "Blazing Saddles", "Animal House" and other classics (probably I am biased a bit as Hunter Thompson is one of, if not the top one, of my favorite authors.
Anyway, it is entertaining (very much so) from opening to end. I'd give it 6 stars if that were available.
