Bought on a whim.
I then watched all 25 episodes in three days (that's a LOT of TV by my usually meagre standards).
The best sitcoms create their own bottle universe, and this soon does, at least after a few 'settling in' episodes.
A great ensemble cast, lovely flawed characters, both main and supporting, and my favourite thing of all, endless genre references (the best episode has to be the 'Die-Hard' tinged paintball story, towards the end of the 'season'), but the pool episode is pretty swanky too come to think of it
Alison Brie is totally unrecognisable from her 'Mad Men' role, and Chevy Chase is superb as a bewildered borderline bigot.
Sadly, it seems the show has been out on 'hiatus' (read cancelled) in the US, part way throught Season 3.
But at least the release of Season 2 on Region 2 is something to look forward too eh? and those 9 episodes of Season 3...

The show hasn't been cancelled quite yet. NBC have temporarily taken it off-air but it's still in production, so the 3rd season will be full-length (i.e. 22 episodes). There's still a fighting chance of a fourth season, especially since making 88 episodes means the show can be put into syndication (i.e. sold to local/cable stations in the US for daily reruns).
