5.0 out of 5 stars Jason gets many voices, 26 May 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th (2 disc set) [DVD] (DVD)
An often amusing documentary that looks behind the entire Friday the 13th franchise. Sometimes grating that the contributors seem to get little time to actually talk but this is rectified to some degree in the expansive extras.

From chatting to the best Jason (Kane Hodder) to victims from all the films, It's a recommended purchase for any fan of the Friday the 13th films as it is both funny and informative with it's little behind the scenes stories, You could even try giving it to someone who hates horror films as its tongue is so firmly in its cheek it could even convert them, Hosted as it is by the effects wizard Tom Savini.

The extras not only comprise of longer interviews with the stars and producers but also some hilarious and painfully unfunny fan featurettes, The best of which is Friday the 13th in four minutes which frankly has to be seen to be believed.

This DVD sort of makes up for the lack of extras that were supplied on the Crystal Lake to Manhatten Ultimate Collection U.K DVD Boxset released 2008

Though I have to say the best documentry films Have seen has to be Never Sleep AgainNever Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy [DVD] [2010] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] which is far superior than "His Name Was JASON" sadly the above is only on Region 1 currently however if you have a Multi Region Player would highly recommend getting.
