I bought this to replace a Canon MP630 which had worked very well, but which packed up. The MG6250 has been a nightmare to get working with my iMac, because the software does not appear to be recognised/supported by Apple, or because Canon have not made it clearly available on their disc or website. As a result, I still have no operational printer. I have seen other comments from purchasers about the need for a firmware upgrade before certain wireless functionality works, but I don't even have the basics working. This product is not worth purchasing before Canon get their act together and provide for an easy install (like all other printers I have previously purchased). After many hours, I feel like giving up on Canon. It is appalling that they can't be bothered to get the hardware/software mix right before they sell a product. I should not have to be a software engineer to make a consumer product work. I finally managed to do an incredibly slow download from Canon Europe, ran the driver, software and firmware updates and then followed instructions to go via a default printer option to list this as the main printer. It finally worked, but what an effort. Hopefully, Apple will have this software update before long - their process is so much easier.
