wow so you don't like rage eh buddy? that's your preference fair enough but to say they are forgotten is uninformed. the summer before last i saw them headline at the reading festival which was as usual, a powerful awe inspiring performance. rage are one of the most unique and influential bands i've ever heard but that is besides the point in regards to the christmas spot of course. it is about rebelling, it's about rebelling against "music" producers telling us what we will buy and exploiting the fact that the vast majority of music buyers in this country are nothing more than sheep to be manipulated. please argue that this is manipulation in return if that is your mindset we're all entitled to our own perspectives.
why don't i personally want to put money down on a currently active homegrown talent? because words fail me how appalling mainstream british music is, and how it has been for a looong time. i put my money down on rage this year despite owning all their albums simply because they wrote their own music, they play their own instruments, they're damn good at what they do and the lyrics speak bucket loads about what's going on in society here and around the world (and will continue to do so.) a good christmas message that doesn't pussy foot around to get it across. this song is as relevent as it's always been as are all of their works.
