Young man goes to seek his long-lost parents in rural Canada when grandfather has heart attack. That's over-simplifying things, but basically is what there is here. I wasn't sure to begin with, then began to enjoy it, but then unfortunately tired of it. Often difficult to tell who's speaking at any one time or from whose perspective a chapter is being told. The timescale tends to annoy. There's too much "Here's a story about......" Plenty here top show Wilson is a fine writer but this book didn't work for me. Liked the dog though!
