I hardly ever write reviews but feel compelled to do so. I am amazed by the rave reviews as my own experience has been the total opposite. I purchased 2 of these directly from 4Cool technology, to use as speakers for PC'S, Having used them both for about a month, one of the units stopped working. 4Cool told me to dispose of the unit and they would send a replacement. The replacement arrived as promised.(although unbranded this time) Both units were working for a short period of time but every now and then the volume on the units would not respond and you would need to POWER them off on the wall to reset them. Then both units developed a fault, the blue indicator light stopped working and the sound became muffled. I tried to call the free phone number and could not get through, you cant leave a message as "the mail box is full" I emailed them and they never responded, I emailed them a few times more and finally they responded with a returns note number so I paid my £6.00 to return them and waited and waited! eventually they returned them both "repaired" They worked for a short period and then they both developed the same fault, I tried to call them again but nobody answers the phone, so I emailed them at how disappointed I was and requested they send NEW like for like Replacements but they refused and advised it is not "there policy" So I reluctantly paid £6.00 on November 5th 2012 and returned them once more.I waited patiently until the 18th December 2012 and tried to call them, no answer, so I emailed them and finally they responded the following day saying there was dust in the connector? and they were repaired and cleaned, 4cool requested my address so they can return them and my response to this was that I felt that they were not fit for purpose and either refund me or send out new units. I said by all means send them back however I wasn't confident they will work for long. to this day 24th Jan 2013 they have not returned them. My advice is to steer clear of this product and always look at the worst review first!

Firstly, it doesn't matter what their policy is, if the goods are faulty or not fit for purpose you have rights under the sale of goods act. Both the manufacturer AND the seller owe you a duty of care. Don't be fobbed off, you can demand reimbursement from either. They are also required to reimburse you your postage. I would suggest you contact them by letter explaining what your consumer rights are. One reason I buy directly through Amazon is that they provide a no quibble and efficient returns service. When in doubt buy from them and not directly from the manufacturer.

As to looking at reviews, it is best to look at the balance rather than individual reviews. This gives a good picture of the product.
