overpriced and useless,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 Standing Origami Case (3rd generation - 2013 release) (Accessory)
This case is very expensive for what it is. I had bought the case that goes with the Paperwhite and was impressed hence when i bought my 8.9HDX i purchased this.
The problems are it will only stand up in landscape mode, there is nothing that will let it stand in portrait mode. Even the lanscape mode is next to useless, unless you have it stood on something as rough or rougher than carpet as otherwise it just slides flat.
If you are likely to use the Kindle to take photos then either take it out of this cover or buy the Kindle insurance, as the slide up mechanism (which technically there isn't) will invariably result in the Kindle coming out of the cover altogether.
There needs to be some way that the Kindle is held into the case properly instead of the dubious magnetic mechanism they use at present
