3.0 out of 5 stars Repeating same stories now..., 1 Jun. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: "Commando": D-Day Fight or Die!: The Twelve Best D-day "Commando" Comic Books Ever! (Paperback)
Okay read, allthough the first big Commando book stories seemed even better.
Old comic publisher trick of reselling old stories starting here with books too. "Man of Iron" was in their book "The Dirty Dozen". Big shame to waste precious space and our money on that story AGAIN!

Contains:
Ambush at Dawn
The Strongpoint
Normandy Drop
Wrong time Wrong Place
Big Joe
Blood of Heroes
D-Day Drop Operation Bulldog
Wolf Pack
Man of Iron
Big Guy
The Footsloggers

yeah okay a bit of repetism but you should understand that these books can provide us an insight in what our boys went through alongside the allies in defeating the nazis today everything from the pages of history have been swept under the carpet for PC reasons which has produced a generation of ignorant people who seem to develop hatred for our present day soldiers who are now fighting an invisible enemy that don't fight with armoured vehicles or planes but from the shadows who seem to have allies in the court of human rights and amnesty national that are making it hard for even our security services to protect us from terrorist attrocities.

Superb summing up! It amazes me that the PC brigade are so much in the minority but pretend to represent the majority! I guess in a just society we should have been reading many true stories of heroism in Iraq and Anfaganistan by now, not to mention the Falklands. Oh I forgot, we can't mention the Falklands!

get a life, give the likes of my 9 year old the chance to read these books and have some respect for the likes of his grandad who at 19 years old was the first off of his landing craft just after 7am on the 6th june. If it wasn't for the likes of him you wouldn't be able to post your comments!
