Customer Review

on 3 July 2013
Found this an exciting and enjoyable read but with cliched characters; first Cornwell book I'd read but I'd hoped for a bit more than a stereotypical "Sean Bean" in the lead role but that's all we got. Reminded me of Flashman without the wit and irony. The gore was really overdone - yep, we've got the fact that people got stabbed in the eye now, Bernard! That said, well paced and a great story that kept me racing through to the end.
