Really enjoyed this book - the Bluebirds are a great bunch of characters. The novel is a great exploration of the blues and of live music in general, and features some hilarious set pieces (I'm a musician so can empathise with many of the situations the band members find themselves in). Coyote Jack is a great comic creation though despite the laughs there is a solid emotional core to the book - I found myself rooting for him and the band at the end. A well written novel with some genuine laugh-out-loud moments. Highly recommended.
