I rather liked this movie, an excellently well crafted tribute to the 70s ans 80s style of horror movie. Even the special effects mimic those found more in Hellraiser than the type we see using todays technology. If the film has a fault then it would be the two dimensional approach to story telling, I found my self observing the action rather than living it. This however was the way in which old horrors worked, you became an extra observer in the story rather than an extension of the actor. In my book this film is a classic,if it had been made in the 80s then it would be the one we all love to remember. This film ticks all the correct retro boxes but could be a little lost on a modern audience who would misenterpriate the slower pace as a fault rather than a hallmark of earlier horror.
