Too big and heavy,

This review is from: David Busch's Canon Powershot G15 Guide to Digital Photography (Paperback)
This book contains some good info about the camera but it's too spread out, cluttered with a lot of superfluous stuff for me.
I wanted a good book that goes into the camera operations in a more fluent manner than the Canon manual and a book that you can take out with you. The camera only comes with a printed starter guide which is no good for more serious use and the full manual is on CD and prints out to a 250 page PDF. again not much use fore field use. This is where this book falls down; it's like a brick.
A previous book I had for my G10 in the magic lantern series was great, comprehensive and pocketable, but this one is not.
Don't get me wrong, it's a quality book well printed on quality paper, but more of a photography book than a camera manual.
OK for home reference but that's as far as it goes for me.
