This book is highly reccomended and tells the story of the author's life superbly. The experiences of his relatives during the 2nd World War are also very informative, and don't at all detract from the author's personal memoir. As is so often the case with diving this book is full of problem solving and making equipment there and then, whilst working. Also interesting as this book is primarily concerned with commercial construction diving, not as 'glamourous' as the adventures in 'Navy Diver' but no less interesting and also frought with danger and near misses! I will certainly buy the second part 'Hard hats 2' as soon as possible!
