Customer Review

on 9 February 2011
A well written and excellently researched book that is invaluable for giving an appreciation of the background to a piece of UK statesmanship that has repercussions today. It is also a well balanced account and picks its way through what is a diplomatic minefield with fairness and openness. It makes one appreciate the difficulties of doing 'what might be right' when set against the competing demands of different people and the UK's interests at the time and makes it harder to simply condemn Balfour without an informed understanding.
