If you are considering buying this book then I would definitely say go for it, you will not be disappointed. I have not been able to put this book down.
I have read this book as an Account Manager keen to learn and master the skills of effective brainstorming and problem solving but it is so much more than that.
Ian takes complex psychological theories with regards to how the mind works and explains them in such a way that is incredibly easy, and very interesting, to follow. His recommendations for creative problem solving are based on well-thought through theories and he weaves in anecdotes, quotes and sound bites to really bring the ideas to life with practical and relevant examples.
The appeal is wide ranging; not just to those in the creative field but anyone that has to work through problems to solve - which is pretty much everyone. Both in business and in life.
And Ian includes an amazing range of further books to read which I am also ploughing my way through and thoroughly enjoying.
I very rarely write a recommendation but when you find something as jam packed with fantastic ideas and insights as this book is you will want to recommend it to all of your friends and family too. I know I am.
