Your cover letter says it ALL!,
This review is from: Brilliant Cover Letters: What You Need to Know to Write a Truly Brilliant Cover Letter (Brilliant Business) (Paperback)
Having already purchased 'The CV Book' and 'The Interview Book' - impressed with the valuable careers guidance and pleased with the ability to access free online support for templates and tools - I promptly placed a pre-order for 'Brilliant Cover Letters' when it was finally published. So, I now have two copies - one to use at work as an Employment Coach and the other for my personal use. (Hey, Employment Coaches have to develop their careers, too).
Employers first become acquainted with you through your covering letter, which in turn introduces your CV. It all comes down to compiling effective business correspondence - it's the KEY to not only obtaining a job but also to assist in moving up the ladder within a company one is already employed with. 'Brilliant Cover Letters' has it all (speculative and advert letters, `thank you' notes, examples of resignation, promotion and remuneration review letters). It even offers advice on how to negotiate job offers and write offer acceptance letters.
