Seeing all of the positive reviews of this product prompted me to go ahead and purchase a cover, to protect my newly purchased iPad. What a great price it was, too, especially with the free gifts that were being offered! Disappointingly though, the first thing I saw when the product arrived was a note saying that in order to receive the free gift, I must give the product a '5 star review describing the positive attributes of the product'. Then when I opened the case itself, and put my iPad inside, I realised it offered poor protection - holding it vertically, my ipad slipped out, worryingly. The Auto-Wake feature did not work, and there was no magnetic function between the covers. I didn't feel confident enough to trust this cover to protect my iPad, so ultimately bought one direct from Apple. If you're paying so much for the tablet itself, paying a bit more for better protection is worth it I think. It works a lot better. Perhaps others have found the case to be better than I did. However, I wouldn't have written a review at all had the cover letter not been such a blatant ploy for attracting further sales.
