Ideal adventure game for DS,
This review is from: Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars - Directors Cut (Nintendo DS) (Video Game)
Broken Sword works well on the DS, using the stylus and touch screen. A few humorous comments and video clips make the whole story more lively and immersive. Some of the puzzles were frustrating and I had to resort to the hints a few times but others seemed relatively easy.
The gameplay was mostly linear with a little room for going in the wrong direction but you couldn't progress until certain goals were achieved.
I found myself putting off playing because I didn't want it to finish. The last 10-15% of the adventure was easily solved and therefore slighlty disappointing but overall I enjoyed playing. I have also had Secret Files: Tunguska which relied more on logically combining various objects to solve a problem. This made it easier but sometimes tedious. Broken Sword mostly managed to avoid this.
