But not as we know it,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Other Side (Audio CD)
Dear fellow supporters of a band called "Flying Colors", I bought this album? under the impression that this was something to do with Flying Colors, "well it is" I hear you cry, "no it isn't" I reply in indignation and not a little disappointment.
The main point of this initial information is, this band have nothing to do with the Mike Portnoy, Neal Morse et al band of exactly the same name.
This is a band with a chap called Mike Banks (Guitar? and Vocals??) who also seems to have a drummer who can play drums and flute at the same time !!!! Questionable, you bet your chuff.
Having received this album? this very morning and with great alacrity and expectation popped this in the chosen player and with equal alacrity whipped it straight back out again. Why? let me give you the full range of facts.
I had earlier in the week had my usual trawl through the mighty Amazon's available sounds to buy when I fell across the New? as I thought "Flying Colors" album. Now knowing of the speed that the chappies that I have come to know as "Flying Colors! can produce music or at least the members of the band that I know as "Flying Colors" can produce albums, I thought yup that will do for me. and scurried forth to purchase the album known as "The other side".
Mistake number one. What I should have done is scrolled down the page a little further and noted that there was no information on band members or any of the usual pre release information usually supplied by as the previously stated, mighty Amazon.
Please let this be a lesson in reading what you see and not what you think you see!!!!
This has absolutely nothing to do with the band that I know as "Flying Colors" and everything to do with numpties like me being sucked in by a band who would like to be known as "Flying Colors" but are actually known on their own web site as "Mike Banks and Flying Colors".
Bottom line? Don't buy this if you are a fan of "Flying Colors" !!!!!!

Taking into account they were both released on the same year, according to amazon. So yes they're not related. :)
